Only a Month

Well the Red Sox win...again.  Yes they've taken the World Series for a second time in 4 years.  Whoo Hoo.  You may now stop celebrating.  Let me know when their World Series Win or Appearance record gets up near the Cardinals or the Mets, then I'll be impressed.

You're probably wondering what's been going on for so long between updates.  Well, life happens.  I see work, see movies, play D&D, run a WFRP 2E campaign, shop for a house, and study to become a PE.  I try to do a page a day for this site but I fell behind quite a bit for October - its going to happen from time to time.  Sorry about that.  But to be fair, there others who have put up nearly all the stats for the ACTA 2E on other shipviewers.  So while I admire and thank those of you who enjoy my work, there are other sources for you to go to in a pinch.

My brother's birthday was earlier this month.  Happy birthday, bro.

I saw The Kingdom a couple weeks ago.  Very well done film.  Though it wasn't directed my Michael Mann, you can definitely see his influence in the casting, and the production value.  The story is exceptionally violent, not gory-horror-film-violent, but oh-my-god-will-they-stop-killing-people violent.  There are scenes in this fill that will make you cry.  There are scenes in this film that will make you shout.  There are scenes in this film that will make you smirk.  (gotta love Chris Cooper)  And there are times when you may fall off your seat for having been on the edge of it so long.  But you will come out having seen something you won't forget.  5 stars, going to the top of my list of DVDs to get for Christmas, or on release, whichever comes later.

Also, one of my best friends from high school made it back from Iraq earlier this month.  His second tour.  Can't wait for this war to be over.  He's career, so hopefully it will be a while longer before he has to go back for a third tour.  Glad you're back man.

Oh, and the Centauri fleet cards are done and posted.  I'm on to the next fleet, which will be the Vree.

I have an idea forming about what I will do for Conquest Sacramento next year in March, but honestly, I'm not certain I'm going to be doing much except studying for the PE exam in April.  We'll see what happens.
